Itinerary
Morning time
Our Vintage Vespa team pick you up and drive through narrow street come to meeting point to join with group at the historic Old Quarter. Our first stop to visit the French quarter and visit Hanoi Opera House, where you will learn about French colonial and architectural and the history.
Moving you up to second destination, the Long Bien Bridge. A magnificent structure was built more over than hundreds of years ago with spans the Red River and connects Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts and provides shelter to locals living on the boats underneath, on motorbikes & bicycles can traverse so off we go!
The next attractions, we take you along the riverside get on the Red River island to visit a hidden gen village, here also to see poor part of people lives, and to see people farming on this island and also have chance to meet and chat with people live on this island, and our guide will take you to visit a local family to see how about the daily life.
Then we drive up through the banana farm to see the beautiful and green of the vegetable farm along the way and we get to visit Kumquat farm. These little trees are traditional gifts at Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, and adorn every family home, symbolizing luck, health, wealth, fertility and peace.
Our next ride to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda is located on West Lake, one of the biggest lake in Hanoi, some point we can see overview of the city with beautiful houses and amazing views and see part of the rich people living.
Drive to Thanh Nien Street next to West Lake is Truc Bach Lake, where we stop at the Monument of John MC Cain, see the lake and the place het got shot down, you will learn about the story of John MC Cain.
Now the time we continue our rider through pass to see botanical garden and ride pass Small Alley see the narrow houses to visit Huu Tiep Lake to see the B.52 Crash site at the lake, this US bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing raids of Hanoi, a poignant reminder of recent history.
After a short ride on the Vespa towards Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, our rider will stop at the point you can see overview of the area including President Palace, Parliament Building and all government office, our guide will tell you about the history and story about Hanoi.
At lunch time, we get on the Vespa and head to the local restaurant to enjoy the Vietnamese cuisine.
Afternoon time
We soon leave the busy streets of Hanoi via a scenic road winding through the city’s Old Quarter, through the burban outskirts, and into the countryside. Hanoi Vespa Tours will drive through the spectacular Long Bien Bridge that spans the Red River, we will take a ride on our Vespa along side of the Red River bank to the countryside area, you will see vast of the rice paddies with green color, see the rural villages hidden at the side of the rice farm.
We drive through small alley road in the middle of the rice paddies, get off road adventure with a lot of fun, then we have some stop for you to learn about how people grow rice and you will understand more about the wet rice.
We jump up on the Vespa again then our Vespa rider will take you continue to visit 900 years old village where still remain of old architecture, learn about the traditional culture of the villages.
Then we continue to visit a local market to see local people come to sale daily stuff at the market, and we will have chance to try tropical fruits.
We come back and ride again to visit Temple where Worships An Duong King and you will know about that dates back to 257 BC it was capital of Vietnam called Co Loa Citadel – the perfect place for you to learn about the history of Hanoi and Vietnam.
After visiting Co Loa Citadel, we will ride to the coffee shop to enjoy Vietnamese coffee and you could try the famous coffee in Hanoi is Egg coffee beside the railway train tracks, we can see how of the local life & work, just centimeters from the train tracks in tall narrow houses. After finishing the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel.
